Asset Audit History
Asset audit history gives you a full change trail for each asset.
What it shows
For a single asset, history includes events such as:
- asset created
- assignment and unassignment
- location changes
- status transitions (including retired/reactivated)
- maintenance completion entries
- inventory-check verification events
Why it matters
- Understand who changed what and when.
- Explain discrepancies during audits.
- Trace lifecycle decisions for compliance and support.
Where to view it
- Open Assets and select an item.
- Go to the asset History / Timeline section.
Practical workflow
- Open the asset from an alert, report, or search.
- Review recent events first (top of timeline).
- Expand older events for full context.
- Use related references (assignment/check/maintenance) to drill into details.
