Asset Audit History

Asset audit history gives you a full change trail for each asset.

What it shows

For a single asset, history includes events such as:

  • asset created
  • assignment and unassignment
  • location changes
  • status transitions (including retired/reactivated)
  • maintenance completion entries
  • inventory-check verification events

Why it matters

  • Understand who changed what and when.
  • Explain discrepancies during audits.
  • Trace lifecycle decisions for compliance and support.

Where to view it

  • Open Assets and select an item.
  • Go to the asset History / Timeline section.

Practical workflow

  1. Open the asset from an alert, report, or search.
  2. Review recent events first (top of timeline).
  3. Expand older events for full context.
  4. Use related references (assignment/check/maintenance) to drill into details.
