QR Labels
QR labels make it easy to scan assets during audits and day-to-day operations.
Where it lives
Open Configuration → QR Label Builder.
Templates
You can create multiple label templates and mark one as the default.
Use Create Template to open a dedicated template editor page. Selecting an existing template opens that template in its own editor page so you can review the preview before saving changes.
A template can include:
- orientation
- label size
- QR size
- printed text fields
- optional branding
Templates now support two size modes:
- preset size, based on a standard system label sheet size
- custom size, where you enter width and height manually
If you choose a preset size, the label dimensions stay locked to that format and you can continue customizing the content layout. If you choose a custom size, width and height remain editable. Changing orientation updates the actual rendered label format, not only the placement of the QR code and text.
When you pick a preset size, the editor now shows a helper block with:
- labels per sheet
- rows and columns for the sheet layout
- the label dimensions
- marketplace search links you can use to find compatible sheets
- a reminder to verify dimensions and spacing before ordering
Fields can include built-in asset details such as tag or name, plus any asset custom fields you want on the label.
Printing
Download one label
Open an asset and use the QR or label action to download that asset's label.
Compose and download label sheets
For batch work, open Assets, select the assets you want, and use Print Labels. The print flow is scoped to that selected batch only.
Choose a label template and a compatible sheet template, then preview how the selected assets fill the sheet before export. Inside that selected-assets print flow you can:
- adjust copies and start-from-label
- download a client-side PDF for the selected batch
- optionally include label borders in the PDF only
- optionally enable fit-to-page or crop marks during PDF export
If printing cannot proceed, review your QR label templates first. You need at least one template that matches an available system sheet size. Portrait templates can still be used with compatible sheet slots when the label dimensions match after rotation.
Good label practices
- keep the most important text readable without scanning
- use a consistent template across similar asset types
- place labels where they are easy to scan but unlikely to wear off quickly
